If the world was ending, how would we know it? Created in 2020 as an audio time capsule, Y2K20 is a Psychedelic Electro Funk epic that touches on topics such as fear, disease, politics, surveillance, death and survival, and tech addiction, while still finding occasional peace among chaos.
There is a cathartic nature to Y2K20. Dystopian funky vibes provide a steady rhythm through which to navigate heavy topics with occasional bouts of levity. If you are into end of the world electro funk vibes, or any kind of vaporwave, this is for you. If you are curious about the human condition, then Y2K20 is for you.

This is The One I Ever Had’s second full length visual following the release of OYA: Optimize Your Ambiance in 2020. Filmed almost exclusively through cell phone video, Y2K20 The Full Length Visual gives that year to us in the way we received most things that year, through our phones. The visuals were created as a way to cope with the stress of the ongoing pandemic. Making these songs and creating these videos gave The One I Ever Had a chance to process trauma.
Filmed with collaborators in Atlanta, Washington DC, the Bay Area, as well as on location in Savannah Georgia. Most of the content was filmed in the artists home in Jacksonville Florida in both real and virtual spaces.
